Four Seasons Wine Tasting, Bangalore

“Wine is the most healthful and most hygienic of beverages.”
Louis Paster.

Last weekend was spent indulging in this healthy beverage! Four Seasons Wines organized the wine tasting session for a group of Bangalore bloggers.

"A man will be eloquent if you give him good wine."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Shamita Singha, Four Seasons’ brand ambassador, gave us a talk on how to judge the wine. Did you know there are four steps to judge wine…? See, Swirl, Smell, Sip! Prior to this I have always gulped wine down in one go. She made me wiser!

“Wine makes daily living easier, less hurried, with fewer tensions and more tolerance.”
Benjamin Franklin.

“All four elements were happening in equal measure - the cuisine, the wine, the service, and the overall ambiance. It taught me that dining could happen at a spiritual level.”
Charlie Trotter

Wine, warm starters, more wine, salads, some more wine, Thai food, more and more wine, desserts, again more wine… flowed in till we were exhausted.

“Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing.”
 Ernest Hemingway

Camera in one hand, a wine glass in another, a true blogger never wants to miss a moment. Bloggers around were busy making note of all interesting things happening.

"By making this wine vine known to the public, I have rendered my country as great a service as if I had enabled it to pay back the national debt."
 Thomas Jefferson

All good things come to an end, so did this wine tasting event. Arrival of the dessert signaled the ending. Bloggers parted with plenty of bytes and bites, a good experience etched in mind.

Looks like so much fun. The wine looks good but that dessert looked like a great ending to the event. Love the shot of the woman with wine in one hand and her camera in the other.

All of that looks delicious. Louis was right! That wine-imbibing blogger has me laughing. Why we all need neck straps with our cameras!

In Belgium people use to drink wine for lunch and supper, of course not two bottles, but I know also people who do ! Looks like a nice fest !

It's never too late to learn. I think I know how to do it, but I have a tendency to gulp, like you (before)! :-)
